Food insecurity in the United States is a pressing issue that affects millions of individuals and families. Despite being one of the wealthiest nations globally, a significant portion of the population faces challenges in accessing sufficient, safe, and nutritious food on a consistent basis. Food insecurity is not limited to specific regions but is prevalent across urban, suburban, and rural areas throughout the country. According to the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), approximately 10.2 percent (13.5 million households) were food insecure.
Provide an accessible mobile grocery store for those living in food deserts and facing food insecurity. The mobile grocery store called The Block Market carries FREE fresh fruit, vegetables, and other healthy market items to individuals and families in food deserts, and those facing food insecurity.
